Natural variation is the rule, not the exception
Colour, pattern, and transparency vary from batch to batch because stones come from nature. If you're making a series of identical jewellery pieces, buy the entire quantity at once – a reorder might have a different shade.
We show photos of the current batch we have in stock, but images can never perfectly reproduce a stone.
Hardness Matters
- Hard stones like agate, jasper, and rock crystal withstand daily wear and can scratch other stones.
- Softer stones like malachite, turquoise, and calcite should be stored separately.
- Rings experience the most wear – choose a hard stone if the stone is exposed.
Drilling & Hole Size
Genuine stones often have small holes, and drilling can vary slightly within the same strand. Choose a thread thin enough for the smallest hole – and have a bead reamer ready if a single bead causes trouble.
Treated & Dyed Stones
Many stones on the market are dyed or heat-treated – this is common industry practice and not in itself a quality issue. If you have questions about a specific item, please ask us before purchasing for resale, so you can describe it accurately to your own customer.

This depends on the bead size. A strand is typically approx. 38-40 cm, so the smaller the beads, the more there are on the strand.

We sell genuine natural gemstones. Some types of gemstones are, as per industry standard, coloured or heat-treated – please ask us if you need to know this about a specific item.
Can I get the same colour again?
Not with certainty. New batches may vary in shade, so purchase the full quantity for a series at once.
