The Universe series consists of several different print progressions, named after planets. Each planet has its own unique print, and the different prints are available in several color combinations. The colors are carefully selected to create beautiful transitions and patterns as you knit. You can choose between subdued cozy colors and more vibrant, bold colors. Please note that the socks will not necessarily be identical if you start them at different points in the print progression. If you want a more uniform pair, you can control the placement of stripes and colors by starting both socks at exactly the same point in the print. Mayflower Sock Yarn Universe makes knitting socks fun because you can continuously follow how the different colors and patterns develop. This creates an exciting result without the need to switch between several different yarn colors. The yarn comes in 50-gram skeins with a running length of 210 meters. For a pair of socks up to approximately size 46, you will need 2 skeins. The recommended needle size is 2.5–3 mm, and the gauge is 28 stitches x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
