Amadora is a hand-dyed yarn made from 100% extra-fine merino wool, known for its exceptional softness and beautiful colour variations. To create a more even transition between skeins, it is recommended to alternate between two skeins for a few rows/rounds when starting a new one. This way, the colour change will be more harmonious in the finished project. Hand-dyed yarn often has greater variations in shade than machine-dyed yarn. Therefore, colour variations may occur – even within the same skein and even when the yarn comes from the same dye lot. To avoid noticeable transitions, we recommend that you alternate between the new and the old skein for a few rows/rounds as you approach the end of a skein. For example, knit or crochet 1–2 rows/rounds with the new skein and then 1–2 rows/rounds with the old, and continue this way until the first skein is used up. This evens out the colour changes and gives a more natural result.
