1 Class is a classic sock yarn spun in Italy from extra-long wool fibres. The blend of 75% wool and 25% polyamide pairs the natural warmth of wool with added durability for high-wear areas like heels and toes. Each 50g ball provides 210 metres of yarn, meaning two balls give you 420 metres—plenty for a standard pair of socks.

We recommend 2.5–3 mm knitting needles with a tension gauge of 28 stitches and 42 rows per 10 x 10 cm. Always knit a tension swatch and check it against your pattern before casting on—the fit of a sock depends as much on your personal knitting tension as it does on the pattern's measurements. This versatile yarn is also well suited to lightweight jumpers and cardigans matching this gauge.

A solid shade makes ribbed and textured stitches take centre stage, while pairing different colours lets you create striking stripes or contrasting heels, toes, and cuffs. Be sure to calculate the required meterage per shade, and use balls from the same dye lot where seamless colour matching is needed. 1 Class is superwash-treated and machine washable on a gentle cycle at up to 40°C; do not tumble dry, and dry flat. The yarn is spun from mulesing-free wool and certified under OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
