Start by selecting the foundation of your jewellery piece. Choose a chain or cord for the base, a clasp and jump rings for the connections, and only then pick out beads, stones, and pendants to define its look. If your piece needs to withstand water and sweat, waterproof stainless steel is the most durable choice; for a classic, nickel-free option, sterling silver is the way to go.

Always check the hole size of your beads against the thickness of your wire or cord, and maintain a consistent material throughout for matching colours. If you're creating multiple identical pieces, it pays to purchase components in bulk – volume discounts are applied automatically at checkout.
